Case Study: Stonecreek of Littleton CO

With the installation date, just weeks away the client wanted to avoid any delays in deployment but still wanted to achieve the quality they felt was missing on past projects. Motion VOIP quickly took the site plans and produced a deployment diagram laying out how the Voice over IP phone system would tie into the network and existing with the already proven Ubiquiti network equipment. Using those plans decided Grandstream’s Unified Communications platform would be a perfect fit for their demands. The PBX offers a commercial grade phone system that would integrate with the existing CenturyLink SIP Trunk phone lines, utilizes the existing Ethernet network, allows residents to bring their own phone (as some have needs for larger button phones or big displays) plus give the administrative staff all the features they require. The system would meet all Federal Requirements of Kari’s Law and RAY BAUM Act when it comes to emergency and 911 laws.

CASE STUDY: STONECREEK OF LITTLETON CO

The Challenge…

Stonecreek Real Estate Partners, a leading development company of assisted living facilities with existing properties in several states and new facilities under construction were struggling to find a reliable phone system solution that did not require costly ongoing support. The organization has a very high focus on quality and reliability when it comes to any technology being used at their locations. The existing phone system at their current facility was having high equipment failures, costly support costs and frustrations for staff. They needed a solution that could provide reliability, was a good value and could be easily duplicated as they constructed new properties. The development firm had a reliable technology partner in Senior Living Technology Solutions who had been deploying Managed IT Services for them. After some research online and getting a referral, owner Kelly Herrod contacted Craig Lansing from Motion VOIP to inquire about the Grandstream VOIP Phone System solutions.

OUR APPROACH…

With the installation date just weeks away, the client wanted to avoid any delays in deployment but still wanted to achieve the quality they felt was missing on past projects.

The team determined that the Grandstream system would not only meet their need but offer them new options they had not previously considered. One of those options was the use of the Grandstream WP820 wifi phone that would allow flawless communication during the evening hours. The phone is much different then traditional cordless phones in that it will work any place in the building that has wireless internet. The phone would allow the evening staff members to provide top-notch attention to their residence without the need to have someone tied to a desk. More resident interaction, quicker response times and the ability to never miss a call was the level of service Stonecreek had built their reputation on. With the assistance of the networking guru’s at Senior Living Technology Solutions we were able to successfully implement this feature which had not worked at another location. The combination of the Motion VOIP experience and design, Grandstream PBX features and the Senior Living Technology Solutions staff allowed this ‘add-on’ to be successful.

Our expertise in the Assisted Living Technology area helped the client maximize the budget on the phone system by coming in at a lower cost then previous deployments. Grandstream UCM was able to offer the staff features like auto-attendant based on time of day, voicemail to email, find-me phone features and call groups that ensure you reach a live person. Motion VOIP trained the back office staff remotely and have been available to assist quickly if any issues arise. The system even allows the facility to offer new residence to bring their existing phone number to the facility so years of family and friends could still easily get in touch with them.

LEVERAGING GRANDSTREAM AND MOTION VOIP…

Assisted Living Facilities like Stonecreek of Littleton have unique needs that make it a combination of a business, a hotel, a restaurant and a doctors office all in one building. They have administrative duties like a business, residence to take care of like a hotel and patients who need assistance like a hospital. In this environment you don’t want to go with a computer guy who thinks he can do it or a phone guy who has never tackled this environment. The Assisted Living technology team of Motion VOIP and Senior Living Technology Solutions have successfully implemented Ubiquiti network and Grandstream phone solutions that offer top level performance for those facilities who value a return on their technology investments.
